The goal of family work is to strengthen family bonds, increase individual members capacity for empathetic communication, disclosure of family secrets, and to create appropriate family structure and hierarchy with definitive boundaries and confirmation of safety. Family sessions also provide a platform for each family member to feel heard and valued.
